This is the correct answer. I had mice completely chew through the HVAC control wiring on an old pickup. It only took them about a week. Went over the remainder of the wiring in the engine compartment to find they had a good start on three other wiring bundles. Bastards...

Good to know. I tried leaving dead mouse carcasses, but they seemed unfazed by my weak attempt at rodent terrorism. I was going to go with mouse heads on spikes next, but I'll try the mothballs first.
