I just returned home from a 2k mile round-trip road-trip from my home near Detroit to Steeda in Valdosta, GA in my 2018 GT. The only mods prior to leaving are a new aFe Pro-S dry replacement air filter and my lighter than stock wheels/tires. When I left the car had less than 2k miles on the odo.

I-75 is basically flat from Detroit down through Ohio and into Kentucky and Tennessee where you start to run into some rolling hills and then it flattens out again in Georgia.

I drove very conservatively at only 2 - 3 mph over the speed limits which were mostly 70 mph and I used cruise control the majority of the time.

My mileage was calculated using Fuelly versus going off the cars computer which I found to be a touch optimistic.

I left home without a full tank and my first fill-up was in Perrysburg, OH and I kept track of the trip mileage from that point on:

1) 29.0 mg

2) 27.9 mpg

3) 25.6 mpg

4) 26.3 mg

5) 28.0 mpg

6) 28.3 mpg

Metro Atlanta traffic screwed me on the way down and on the way back so that's where it fell off into the 25's and 26's. But overall I'm extremely pleased with the numbers!

That's great. Can't ask for much better. I have also found the onboard to be a little optimistic on the first few tanks. It seems to be about 10% higher than actual.

If I had a dime for every time someone started a GT mpg thread...

Just curious, what's your combined mileage on a daily basis?

Drove from north of Cinci to Bristol, TN with heavily loaded car (2 people, 4 wheels, jack, tools, lots of other stuff - basically no space left, was sitting low on springs) and got 27.6mpg with 3.55 rear end. Mostly ~5mph above speed limit with some hills on the way. I thought about towing it (have F150 ecoboost with 10 speed auto) but that would make no sense at all...

If I can keep my foot out of it most of the time I'm hovering around the 22 - 23 mpg area which I also think is pretty darn good. And that's probably close to a 50/50 mix of city/highway driving.

20.2 and 20.4 on my first two tanks. Onboard showing 21.9 for both tanks. Break-in period is over, so I expect both to start going down.

I agree, that is good. I average about 20-21 mpg with a 50/50 split. Between wider tires and 4.10 gears, I'm surprised it isn't worse.

Haha, of course. In a few months, I'll ask what the lowest mpg tank you've had is :D

Haha those were the days. Go Flex Fuel or E85, then you will get half that. I best 12-14 now.

High MPGs is just a reminder I’m not driving hard enough

In all seriousness, my highest was about 27 mpg, driving really conservative on cruise control.

Thanks for saving the extra gas for the rest of us! It is impressive though, but mine stays well below 20 mpg
