I know there are a few other threads out there on exhaust tips, but can the same be applied to black chrome tips?

I'm a little concerned with the idea of taking steel wool to it in case it isn't black all the way through!

These are the Ford Performance by Borla black tips.

Thanks

Don't use anything Steel on those.....I imagine it would scratch the piss out of the finish. Use a good non acidic cleaner if its that dirty(wheel cleaner maybe) and wipe off. My corsa tips just wash off with regular soap no issues.

I also have the ford performance black tips. I use a light metal polish, like the chemical guys one pictured above, or a cleaner wax. I have had no issues with the finish scratching or coming off.

Yeah Chemical Guys have a lot of good stuff, I recommend the Light metal polish too.

I use Adams Green Wheel Cleaner on my black tips.

I use megs wheel brightener (diluted to your liking) or super degreaser while I'm cleaning the wheels. Put some wax on it after.
