Hard to believe the struts did that since they push the hood up. Pop em off right quick and see if gap still there. Don't unbolt them just the clips on the pivot balls.

This isn't going to solve anything. His hood is sitting low from front to back. OP, just disconnect the struts and see what happens.

Just so you know, my hood sits low on both sides after this install. Too lazy to screw with it...

^Right, now that know it's there it's difficult to avoid. I'm counting on you to get to the bottom of this. If you find something, let me know and I'll get out there to prove it on my crappy hood fit.

My 18's hood sits low from the factory, just like in your pics.

I installed the Ford Performance hood struts, and they fit perfect. No issues at all.

I did as well...no issues. Aside from me installing the struts on the opposite sides resulting in lettering upside down.

But I'll flip them now that I read on how to pop them off.

OP, hard to see how the struts would pull the hood down, maybe it was like that before and you never noticed?

I think the lettering being upside down is actaully correct. I installed mine following the CJPP install video.
