Is it possible that this is “fake news “. I checked with the Ford dealer I deal with they have no knowledge of the 2019 GT 350

I've been told the same from both my dealers, nothing official to them.

FACT- Dealers usually don't know what we know on the forums because we are passionate enough to follow things closely.

This is true.

With a couple of days of casual reading on this forum (or any other car / vehicle enthusiast forum), most people will know more than the average salesperson. We have to understand that, for many of them, selling a car is just a job. They know enough to do the job (and in some cases, maybe not even that), but they are not going to know as much as an enthusiast, or even an armchair enthusiast. It is just like any other job - there is a small subset of the population that wants to excel and they take it upon themselves to learn as much as they can.

That being said, there are some salespeople who are just as passionate about a particular vehicle as the enthusiasts - in my years of buying vehicles, that person is rare indeed.

I love all the blues.

But I'd really like to see the new Need for Green offered on the GT350. This color with black stripes would be very cool on the GT350!

Hummm.... seems a bit too light to me. I want this with a PBR, no stripes, in my next GT350

I order all the vehicles for my dealership...you can put in an order for a 2019 GT350/R through what they call CONCEPS way before the order guide comes out...sometimes it accepts the order, sometimes it doesnt...this doesnt mean ford wont update the CONCEPS, i.e. last week didnt show all the 2019 GT and Eco colors and they were showing blue as an option for the Bullitt...the ordering guide comes up today and no blue for the Bullitt and Green added to GT and Eco...if you have an questions, let me know

Jim, love that color, but I think you may have to settle for a Bullitt to get something close. :D

Nothing regarding the GT350 in the 2019 mustang order guide. Only time GT350 is mentioned is the Buillitt has a modified 350 intake

I was hours away from heading back to my local dealer to sign on a deal that involved a dealer trade to get something close to what I wanted in a MY2018 GT350 (couldn’t find exactly what I wanted in the Pacific Northwest but found a dealer willing to work a trade) when the news about the 2019 availability broke. I decided to hold off incase 2019 included anything new like a digital dash, rev match, new colors, etc.

Now that it doesn’t look likely that 2019 will include anything but a revised color pallet, I’m trying to decide on just going ahead with the deal, or waiting and ordering exactly what I want...

Based on your experience, what would a SWAG be for an estimated timeframe to receive a MY 2019 at this point?

Have you ever seen a car showing in Concepts and then disappear altogether i.e. canceled?

1. Good chance for the 2019 but not guaranteed. The 16-17 were on a 2 yr plan from Ford that dealers bought into for $1k.

The 2018 run was listed at 1 yr for another grand to be in the program.

Ford has not signed dealers up for the 2019 run, or did so sooo secretly no one has gotten any word of it. It is a little late but never say never. Ford could also just treat the 2019s under the 2018 sign up by dealers and not charge another program fee.

You have given NO indication as to where your 2019 would come from. That is critical. GT350 orders are NOT first come first served. Small dealerships in the program got their one promised car but it was often a 3rd or 4th quarter allocation.

What was the allocation amoint and schedule for the dealerships 2018 cars- if 2019 occurs it will probably be along similiar distribution lines.

Some dealers have yet to get their 1 2018 GT350 and probably won't until April/May. Those dealers won't see their 2019 car (if produced) for a good 14 months.

The only one who can give you a 'guess' is the dealership your ordering from and their 2018 allocation schedule.

Great points, thanks. Both dealers I talked to indicated they had the highest allocation of GT350’s in the Portland, OR area, so I assumed at least one of them was telling the truth : )

Given what you’ve noted above, sounds like I should go for the MY18 that is close to what I wanted rather than wait it out, which sounds like it could be a long time! (That is unless I can find a 2018 Oxford White/black painted roof/convenience package somewhere else!)

If you can get the 18 as you like but just missing the black roof i'd grab it. Easy fix with a wrap. If your down to your 3-4th choice of color then it is a bit tougher.

And with the GT500 coming you have to wonder just what the actual buildout numbers of a 19 GT350 will be. An excess number sitting on lots or rare?

Tough call. Good luck!
