On both sides of each tire there is a DOT code (starts with "DOT" ...). On one side of each tire, that code is followed by an oval stamping that has a 4-digit number in is. xx17 or xx16. "xx" is the week of manufacture (01-52) and the last 2 digits are the year. Again, this extra oval is typically only on one side of each tire after the DOT code.

Cool. Thanks! Looks like my Cup2s are 4117 (practically brand new) and the MPSS are 4215 (price makes sense now).

PS - I just received 2 of the order of 8 305 SC2s (they cancelled the other 6). The date on these two are barely 6 weeks old - so they are shipping current tires and seem to have had recent stock.

I ordered 2 fronts and 2 rears of the MPSS.
Walmart Canceled my rears, out of stock.
1 of the 2 fronts showed up yesterday.
Been on line with Walmart for 30 minutes this morning.
Can you say frustrated.

Jim, You need to call and speak with tier 2. The folks in India can't do anything. I don't think tier 2 can do anything if the tire is out of stock. Maybe they changed the part number. Cross reference and give it your best shot.

I picked up my 2 mpss fronts last week and the rears on Friday. Date code 3017. Also got an e-mail stating my $70 rebate is on its way. Walmart completed my full order. $592.15 (including tax) -$70 rebate = $522.15. Damm, what a deal!!

I'm happy for everyone getting their orders filled, but it infuriates me that they have left me hanging. I've noticed people getting deliveries on orders placed after I placed mine. It doesn't make sense.

I'm definitely going to give them a call once the tires come back in stock. I was told there is simply nothing that can be done if they are out of stock. Even when they come back in stock, I have to get them to approve a price adjustment, which is also going to be a challenge. The whole thing frustrates the hell out of me!

i think the only reason they gave in to me was the fact i had a screen shot and told them multiple associates of their's told me i was good to go, up until i actually re-ordered then they tried to say no. you may have to talk to multiple people
