The GT350 was never officially intended to be a two year run. All the talk about it being two years was nothing but dealer and Internet rumors trying to drive demand. I don't feel bad for anyone paying ADM since it's their money to burn.
Officially no. I was personally told by Ford, Ford Performance, not dealer, that it was going to be a two year build not to include the limited 2015 MY this was in November of 2015. Just like the info coming out for the GT500, vague at best. Why? Because things change.

I would like to see a HP increase too...with a more linear power curve down low for better streetability. Guy can wish...

Things change, no promises were made. The car is still selling, and the next big car isn't ready yet. Ford stopping production would be a very stupid move.

I do not regret one minute of purchasing these cars. I am happy I got out of the track pack and got into the R(s) because they will always be limited and special (sure, go ahead and make a few more model years, I don't care).

I think the market has leveled out and I really don't see pricing changing much (for the R). Anyone thinking of ditching an R order that is about to be built right now to save maybe a thousand or two would be foolish IMHO.

As for all this refresh and horsepower increase nonsense, it aint gonna happen. Think about what would have to go into the redesign and implementation. The continued production of the GT350 is a band aid because the 500 isn't ready yet.

Now if only they'd come back with Avalanche Grey... I'd swap out in a heartbeat
I hadn't realized they'd stopped offering AG (guess I just haven't been paying enough attention ;-)

Based on the MY16 data, mine's a 1 of 1 (for MY16)...maybe it'll be a 1 of 1 for the whole run....hmmm.

ya, like Tomster, my AG draws a lot of compliments.

yeah they changed to leadfoot, I believe. It's ok - but it's not AG. I'm actually considering painting my AG in a few years once the track use starts to show on the paint

This whole post is all speculation based on what someone said if they build it they build it. Cars are not investments so anyone who bought one for that should have put the money in there 401 or other investment.

As Tomster stated its a great low production vehicle even if they make them for another year. Hopefully they don't but at this point nobody knows for sure except Ford and they are not talking!

Na man! Wrap it! Next year I will be removing the PPF for satin clear full car PPF. This will give me a matte AG. Different and paint protected. Or I may just wrap it.

This.

Ford's development costs are sunk. ROI is pretty high to just keep churning these out. Dealers are happy with the margins as well. Why not keep making them?

DCT ??

After waiting SO, SO very long to get my base R, I am not in a rush to repeat that hellish process. However, the one thing I might entertain is a DCT or possibly the A10 gearbox. (Sorry, not a fan of manuals, getting too old). Also a fan of HUDs. Been watching this thread and finally reached out to my sales guy (will 350 continue and get a DCT?). He replied today with the following (save your flames, I know it is just a comment from a sales guy).:headbonk::paddle:

..."Not once but twice the top executives at Ford have stated the GT-500 is a 2019 model year car. The overlapping and confusing offering of both a GT-350 & GT-500 is not a marketing strategy Ford considers. The GT-350 will shortly meet its goal of 12,500 units at which the production line will be re-oriented. There is needed space between GT-350 end and GT-500 start so the long earned "Halo" stays with the Mustang..."

He has repeatedly brought up the 12.5K build quota. I'm not sure what racing homlogation requires that. However, I think he is right in that the total 350 production should exceed that in MY18.
EDIT: my rough calculation suggest that was met at the end of MY17 (137 for 15, ~ 6100 for 16 and ~ 7100 for 17 totals over 13K already):ford:

They really should give it the MY18 redesign and a spec bump. I don't see why they couldn't do that, I know a lot of people would buy them.

Really can't see Ford redesigning the whole front end of a 2018 GT350/R for just one MY assuming that there will be a 2019 model.

;)
