Hi all,

I was looking for a hitch for my EB Mustang so that I can carry an e-bike (they're heavy, so a trunk rack won't hack it - has to be a hitch mount). I came across the Stealth Hitch and I think it's an awesome design - completely invisible when not in use! They are made in the USA (Yay!) and seem to cater right now to higher class brands: MB, Audi, BMW, Porsche, etc.
I submitted a request for them to consider making one for the Mustang and actually got a reply from the CEO, Steve Nance. He said they are starting on Ford models this summer, but so far there hasn't been much of a demand for the Mustang. If you are in the market for a hitch for whatever purpose, please go to stealthhitches.com and in the Shop Hitches section select the Let Us Know! link to request a Stealth hitch for the Mustang. I really don't like the way the Curt and Draw-Tite models are visible below the rear bumper.
Thanks,
Don

I made an inquiry on their website. I wouldn't mind having one if it is hidden from view unlike the other offerings. I would use it for my bike rack or as a recovery point for the rear of the vehicle.

Yes, we need a better solution. All the currently availible hitches I have seen look terrible on the car.

I believe Blowfish or some similar company made a hitch where the receiver part detaches and can be replaced with a tow hook (or nothing) for S197s. I emailed them a long time ago requesting (demanding) that they make one for S550s. It'd take them probably 4 hours to fab it and create a jig to replicate. No joy...

One of the STP racers has a nice home built hitch that comes out through the rear backup light. Looked nice, pretty close to stock.

FYI: I am going to be taking my car to Stealth Hitch next week. Turns out they are located close enough to me to volunteer my car.

They will have my car to mock up a design (if one is possible) and then will go through stress testing after that. So potentially we'll see their option a little sooner rather than later.

You're welcome, y'all.

Consider it done! I also mentioned the new for 2018 magnaride & dynamic exhaust that might or might not cause interference. :)
