It really does depend on the lighting/cloud cover. It can look purple under different lighting.
The day I walked into the dealership to try the mustang on (I am 4'10" and most cars don't fit) I was wearing a dark purple coat. The salesman handed me the keys and said he had a purple car for me. The car hasn't looked that color since. Often it is a shade of blueberry. The color even shifts when walking around it.
The car fit and she is now mine. It was the only 2015 within a 5 hour drive that was what I wanted. The only other color I wanted was white. Now I have to pick stripe colors.
