OEM Ford accessories: Lighted sill plates UPDATE: Installed

So for anyone interested Ford is now selling the lighted sill plates as an accessory kit.

Part Number: FR3Z-63132A08-AA
Price: ~$200

The kit comes with both sill plates, a wiring harness, and instructions. There is one wire that will need to be tapped into near the passenger side fuse panel in order to get these working. Install took a little over an hr and wasn't difficult at all!

It is quite nice! Instructions seem pretty easy and straight forward. Bonus for me was the included wiring harness.

With this kit no. The sill plates are wiried to only illuminate blue.

does the kit come with the necessary taps to complete the install? Does it require any super long interior running of wires?

The kit comes with everything required to install them! The only routing needed is routing the supplied wiring harness from the passenger side through the bottom of the dash to the drivers side sill plate.
