17 Base Oxford W GT350R @ HGreg.com 74k

As title says I was just looking through some sites for prices on F150's for a bud, and I ran across what is in the title.

596 miles, and it's a base R IE no radio. I guess that's the base ? I have honestly forgotten what the base is.

Just passing this along. BTW this is in the S.FL area, Miami.

That one is just like mine but I have blue OTT. Base Rs had no AC, no radio, no trunk liner and no air pump. They were abt 60 pounds lighter

Well def has radio delete. Taking another look, no AC and no trunk liner or pump. So yeah, its a base. Those are a little harder to come by no ?

Not even speaker wiring lol. They are very few made thus far and harder to come by. Some would say harder to sell or that they are not wanted or something along the lines:lol:

Good price. MY17 sticker was around $64K. Base Rs can no longer be made because they do not have provision for back up camera. IIRC, that went into effect in April or May 2018.

Fairly rare, I think there were 6-15s, 64-16s and a few more than 54-17s. Have not yet seen how many MY18s base Rs were made. Will be no MY19s.

Interesting comments. I bought mine (two actually), because I will only track mine and wanted the "most track capable" version of the "most track capable Mustang". I know I am in a minority group, as most drive them on the street, at least a little. It too hot here in ATL to drive it too. But when I decide to sell it someday, was hoping there are still track crazies out there who want the purist version. Time will tell. :ford:

I’m glad you are enjoying your R’s in their purest form. With all due respect, you come across as persnickety. Bare R’s are a beautiful piece of artwork and machinery. No doubt they’re rare. I’m shocked the price is where it is (the fact that you paid MSRP or close to is irrelevant here), but may reflect that given this is an A/C-delete car, it may be harder to gain an upcharge on.

Lol. By all means no. I would love to have a bare R but I want to see what happens with the 19 R and the 20 GT500 first.

Sorry you think so. Was simply expressing my view. My comments were not critical, unlike some here. I bought what I wanted. YMMV That's why they made 5 variants. To each his own.

If I had the money, this is the model I'd get!

My point was a dealer/seller/reseller may have a harder time selling a non-AC car in the deep south especially in a country called Miami....

There are also many track guys out there who still want A/C in theirs. And sure there will be a select few who will opt for a barebones no-options R... so just a perspective of both sides here. I have a few friends in South FL who would like to get an R as close to msrp as possible but all of them want A/C... after all, this is still a production street car that can be tracked.
