I have had these for 10 months now and I have to say one of the best tires ever bought. Price is unbeatable and they perform amazing. They grip on the ground and they sound smooth on regular use. I posted a video a while back. Here it is just in case.

Hows the wear. Do they run wide?

Still good... I have to check exactly how much thread I have left, but definitely still holding and no signs of low threads. This is considering I have done couple burnouts and also drag racing.

I think these run a bit narrower, at least compared to the OEM Pirellis.

I had the 275/40/19 PZeros on a 10" wheel and now the 285/35 Indy's and they look about the same bulge or lack there of.

Just put some on the rear after the Pirellis balded out after 5k miles. They grip much better in 50 degree weather with nearly 800 hp. I don't spin 4th gear but 1st to 3rd is a no go until it warms up. They appear to be wider than the Pirellis even though they are 275s. Its probaly the way the tread is grooved but Im happy so far.

I almost got the Firehawks. Getting 305's was the issue. So I went with Nitto 555 G2's.

This is my debate as well. I have a 19x11 out back which I would rather do the 305/35/19 but Firehawks only come in a 325/30/19.

I've also liked the Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs, if you are looking for something less expensive. Can't remember if they come that wide. Mpss would be the best go to, for you, probably.

Tire Rack agrees with you...

Indy 500 285/35-19 tread width 9.8"
PZero 275/40-19 tread width 10"

The difference in tread width is most likely attributed the Indy tires having significantly more roll over on the edges. The tires have the same section width, but the Indy's will appear slightly narrower. Even so, they offer better grip.

I agree, I put 255/45-18 Indy's on my stock 8" Ecoboost rims and the width looks identical to the 235 width stock tires on mine. I just assume it's because the tread width is measured all the way across the total tire width because that's how the Indy's tread is. I just bought some APEX 9" rims and will go to 275 width the next time around. I'd even go 285 on 9" rims but don't think the Indy's come in that for 18" tires.

Trying to find these tires have been a bummer... Firestone store front can't get them from Firestone. They would have to order them from another company for 120$ more to cover shipping... =/

Tirerack seems to be the only one who has a full set of these damn things.
