Maybe the answer to this question is obvious but I would like to make sure I understand it. On the GT350R or a GT350 with R spec wheels the rear wheel will stick out past the fender. What limits the rear suspension travel to prevent the tire to hit the fender? I assume the answer is the bump stop inside the rear shock. But on a GT350 that runs FP springs (which are a bit lower than the R springs) and of course has the standard GT350 magneride shocks, is the bump stop properly sized to prevent hitting the fender with the rear tire during extreme rear suspension compression?

I've run R specs wit zero problems on lowering springs
Nice pic! Are you running the FP or Eibach springs? I’m trying to decide between the 2 and I’m also installing the RSpec wheels with the Cup2 tires at the same time. I use the car mostly at the track.
Thanks!

Thanks! Cup2s?
These are Continental ExtremeContact DW. These particular tires are 305/30R19 but they run wider than the michelins. I have cup 2s sitting in my garage and they're a bit narrower.

I'm running the FP springs which I'd recommend with this car for track use. They're a bit stiffer than the r springs and the tide height is perfect. Low but not deathly low. Really solid feel on track.

Have you already bought the 6GRs in R spec?

So you are running a square setup? Are the wheels 11" al around or 11" front/11.5" rear?

I bought the square 50mm 11’ Project 6 GR setup for an R but haven’t had time to put them on. Still waiting for 25mm spacers. There are about a million threads on this stuff but not one that covers it all comprehensively imho. I bought the close out 305/35 Michelin’s at Walmart and, of course, they look tall for the front. Will post photos and details either here or in another, existing thread once I get them on. Worst case I have a cheap set of spare rear tires for someone.

If you look closely on an R you'll see how the wheel/tire pokes but the tire is slightly stretched on the rim, which angles the sidewall and gives some additional clearance from hitting the fender edge.

There is no issues running a 19x11.5 R Spec Fitments in the rear, you can even squeeze a 345/30/19 with no rubbing at all.

We are currently finishing up a Full Forged 7 Spoke in 19x11 & 19x11.5 that's going to be on 305/325's.

We also have 19x11 Forged Track set up getting cut as we speak, with 305/30/19's on deck :)

Yes, if you run the 315 Cup2s you are right. For 325s the thread will extend all the way past fender line.

Could you post some pics if that?

I've ordered and waiting for the P51 wheels (custom color) 11 in the front with the 305/30 Cup2 and 11.5 in the rear with the 325/30 Cup2. And more you guys talk to me, more I'm going for the FP springs Vs the Eibach for the track :)

I was looking a bit at different options for tires and it occurred to me that a 295/30 front and 305/30 rear MPSS or M4S mounted on 10.5” and 11” rims respectively are within 0.2” (thread width) of the R spec Cup2s.

Has anybody tried running 295/30 with 305/30 MPSS or M4S on GT350 (non R) spec wheels?
