The infamous Mustang aluminum hood corrosion at the leading edge has popped up. 1 year to the week.

Anybody else?

I don't think its aluminum. It's too heavy to be aluminum.

To clarify the hood is aluminum. The hoods have been aluminum since 2005.

We don't need a magnet.

What we need is an ALUMINUM hood that doesn't corrode after one year.

Perhaps its a chemical reaction with something you are using to clean the car... or even the water.

I have seen it before. It actually appears to originate from under the leading edge where the seam sealer is.
