I have had 2 outings to baseline the car stock before the whipple.

First time out was with 305/35 19 MT SS .DA was about 2000 FT. A FBO 15(tune/exhaust/CAI was trapping 113 mph the same day.

Second time out was with "drag pack" -18 inch front skinnies /ET R's 305/45 17 on race stars.60' improved a little ,to high 1.8x range and picked up 2-3 mph and .3 ET.

I felt bad I did not get the 11 sec pass I was looking for but gave up after 7-8 , 12.0 passes.

I am going to try again with CF DSS drive shaft to see if I can pick up any ET/MPH . Still running the stock axles but have the zero hop with the BMR CB005.

My Launch technique may be off as I am foot braking to 2300 and its holding but even with advance trak off it still feels like its bogging.

Going to try 2000 rpm like Evan smith did in his recording breaking 11 second passes stock.

Sorry if the slips are hard to see.

Every single pass that day was the same launch at 2300 rpm? Also, what offset on your 17x10 race stars?

Just about .Maybbe a little less at times but never less than 2100.
I tried to go higher but it would creep forward .

I have the SVE's on in that picture
The race stars are 17x9.5. I can't remember the offset but I think they only come in one offset for the S550.
They fit well without poke or rub

On my 2015, I get the quickest times/best 60s by just keeping it in Drive and mashing the throttle when I want to launch the car. I've tried foot braking it and bringing it up on RPMs but it just runs slower. Not really sure why...

Thanks for the tip and I will try that next time out as well .
I definitely need to leave it in drag mode(went .3 quicker than sport )but I may try keeping the shifter in D(I have been keeping it in S).

What is your theory on this or is it just to simply try something different? Also, you mentioned "advance track off," is this PP specific? I have a premium, I can put it in "drag mode" but I thought just by doing that it turned off traction all together?

I made a pass in Sport mode and it ran slower than drag mode with everything being the same .
In Drag mode it shifts at redline and the rpm hardly drops between shifts .

To turn advance trak off you have to hold the TCS button for 5 seconds with your foot on the brake .
Drag mode does decrease the intrusions but it's still doing it .

Even when it's all "off " I am sure it's still doing some torque management.

There is a sensor you can disconnect to turn it all off . I did it but it ran worse and spun through out the pass .
Also the line lock will not work if you do that .

I think tryin to stall it to 2300 is hurting i would shoot for 11 to 1300 hundred at most.

im also curious why stalling up would slow the car down. all else makes sense.. Drag mode, advance trac off. im not sure if S or D would make a difference? i would think it would just be using drag mode parameters.

Not stalling it up as much allows a surge when the converter hits the flash point, instead of already being nearly at the flash point.

On the slower in sport mode it's because sport mode has a tighter converter lockup schedule than D. 18' drag mode is prob a whole diff animal tho.

You picked up 2-3mph just by installing front skinnies?

Which timeslip is from the "1st time out on only DRs"?

I ask because my car in 100% stock condition with 38psi in the all seasons only ran 12.5@115.

I installed front skinnies and DR's in rear and plan to go back at it tonight to see what she'll do.

Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion .

The 12.3 pass was the first time out with SVE 19 wheels . MT SS 305/35 19 in the rear /stock PS4 in front .

Second time out I had "drag pack ". 17 x9.5 and 18x5 race stars .
Rear tires were ET R's 305/45 17 and fronts a 28 inch bias ply.

I know your SS and R's were on different size wheels, but why did you go R with the 17's? I was thinking about 305/45/17 SS

I already had the ET R's /race stars I ran on my 15 Hellion car .
I don't think the SS will work at the strip once I have the whipple but should work as a daily .
