Totally agreed that Leo is a terrific ambassador to the entire Ford Family and in particular when it comes to the various Mustang models built at their Flat Rock assembly plant.

I know I'd really like a poster of that.... or even a really large banner version to hang in my shop!

Nice. So the #'s this year were over what they initially anticipated, but not way over (not like 2017 #'s).

Anyone know what this brings the final R #'s to up through 2018 assuming this is indeed the last R for MY18?

Not sure of the exact count, but I am pretty sure it is higher than the "1965" speculation.

Has to be closer to 2100 at this point.

Assuming JR629 is the last 2018 R this year this will bring us to a total of 2134 R models built for the first 4 MY's.

Most of that total number of R's would be Electronic Package cars with Base R's accounting for 114 cars for the first 3 MY's and suggesting ~25 Base cars for the 2018MY and of course none will be built for the 2019MY.

Interesting to note that in 2016 and 2017 Ford exported 6 R models outside of North America.

So breaking it down per year... someone correct me if I'm mistaken but this looks like the 2015 thru 2018 GT350R production tally (Total = 2,134):

MY2015 = 37 units

MY2016 = 526 units

MY2017 = 942 units

MY2018 = 629 units

2016, 526 is my personal favorite lol

Is Gotti still providing info re a particular car's progress down the line? I don't want to bug him if he's not doing that any more.
