I have the 2017 GT w/ PP so I have the front Brembo big brake kit.

I want to replace the rear oem setup with Brembo as well. Not red calipers but natural look to match the front.

I have looked at AM, CJPP, LMR and similar places and drew a blank. Those places all have the kits that are way overkill. I think what I want is OEM on the GT350. Can anyone confirm?

I do not want to spend $8k to do the front and rear.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If I can not find, I am research going with Baer or Wildwood where doing all 4 corners is about half the cost.

They're rear brakes, they're supposed to look a little dinky.

Full Tilt Boogie makes a GT350 conversion kit for ~$2045.

This.

Rear brakes are sized appropriately. Going to significantly larger rear brakes without a change in brake bias at the master cylinder could result in some significant instability or spinning the car under firm braking.

Understood. According to that link provided to the Full Tilt Boogie Brembo kit, the GT350R rear rotor is only half inch larger and will not upset the braking balance at the proportioning valve of the MC.

Having said that, FTB price on a 4 wheel GT350R kit is equal to most Front or Rear kits so that makes it more palatable cost-wise to do all 4.

I plan to call them later this week or next and pick their brains.

Just doing my research and learning. Power and Suspension are done, so I may need to focus on stopping power next. So far though, I have not cooked the brakes but I have not gotten on the track yet either. Just mountain road fun as of yet.

Unfortunately that's not true at all. They're 15" rotors vs. 12.6" rotors. That's a very significant increase in brake torque.

Sorry they were comparing the fronts of the PP to GT350 rotors as a means to justify the rear change... I absolutely hear what you are saying though!

 to that post on SVTP

The Shelby has a different master cylinder with a further forward bias tuning. It's a track focused car but still has to be stable under braking for a layperson. Just trying to help.

15/12.6 vs 15.5/15

Turns out that the Shelby has the same MC as the non-PP GT, which makes some sense. The 13.9/12.6 bias is fairly close to the 15.5/15, and the slight increase in overall rear bias would be ok for the Shelby.

You seem to forget our cars have ABS. ABS controls the pressure at the rotor not the "bias valve". The rear brakes won't lock up prematurely because the ABS will release the pressure on them putting more pressure on the fronts at the same time.
