Since Hankook RS4's are on indefinite backorder, I'm looking at other tires.

Anyone have experience with these on our cars?

I would be using these for on way to/from track days and some events.

Heat tolerance?

Looking at 295/40/18 on 18x11 wheels.

I’d get some RE71R, far superior than those other tires.

The Falkens are designed for lighter cars. Honda’s, Mazda’s etc

I used a 275/35-315/30 combo of RT615K+ on 18x11 wheels last year and thought they were very good tires. I did one trackday with them and it is there that I think they shine. In autox they are not quite as good as the RE71R but as an HPDE Instructor and Advanced driver they held up great to hard sessions on track.

I think 295/40/18 is a great size to put on a 18x11 and was considering that tire for this season but switched to 19x11 and 305/30/19 RE71R for my primary interest of autox.

There is no real viable RE71R size we can use in 18s on wider than stock wheels.

I ended up going with 305/35/18 NT01s, so this thread is useless, lol.

Yeah, Kohr Motorsports and other teams were no doubt testing for the May 4/5 IMSA race there.
