We also must not forget that Stephanie is paid to sell aftermarket parts by installing them on her car then shooting a video telling the world what a great part this is .... etc
Six months later there will be a new shifter or prop shaft that needs selling, hence a video demonstrating it to be better than the last doesnā€™t hurt sales.

I canā€™t be sure, but itā€™s possible that the stock manual gearbox might have a market in the TVR world...:)

The early TVR Wedges and Griffiths used the rover Sdi box. I think that was also used in the defender and early Range Rovers.. it took the torque better than the later T5, too:D:D

That ā€˜box was used in pretty much every Leyland/Rover RWD car from that era. I forget the code now?? It was very strong but had a weakness when pushed where the shafts would push apart and split the front bearing housing apart due to the side loads emitted by the timken taper roller bearings. All in all a bloody brilliant box though.

The later box was the R220 or something which was much stronger but harder to rebuild apparently?

Portal axle very clever way of giving more ground clearance by raising the diffs:thumbsup:

The highlight though was a trip around an obstacle course in a Unimog:headbang:

I swear at one point it was vertical as it claimed a wall:lol::eyebulge::hail:very impressive.

Interesting stuff!! Those portal axles are incredible. They used to be pretty common on industrial off roaders but not so common these days?

Just think how low you could go if you turned the axle upside down!!
