Bought an MBRP Street catback, I was just wondering if grease on the end of the h-pipe (connecting to the cats/mid-pipes) is normal/okay?
I can understand it on top of the h-pipe to help with squeezing it into the factory mid-pipes, but should I clean the large amounts of mustard-looking grease inside the h-pipe along along with the visible metal shavings?
Or am I worrying too much. :headbonk:

That's just the grease from forming the pipe and the reduction. It'll burn off no probs. or clean it if you like.

I would clean it all off before installing. You don't know what kind of reaction you'll get when you expose that crap to red-hot exhaust gasses. It may just burn off with a stink or it may ignite...maybe even mess up your cats. I'd clean it.

Yep, I would not want that garbage in there but that's me. If it was 100% harmless then every set would have this in it and no one would be complaining. Obviously it's not normal to see it, so I'd remove it.

I ended up cleaning as much as possible, I don't want that shit especially the shavings flying around in the mufflers.
