To keep the "stealth" look when daily driving....

- Helical P1X (can't hear it)
- ProFlow valve (kept the filter on it to muffle the sound when lifting)
- Blacked out intercooler (so can't see it coming in the rear view mirror)

If anyone follows my YouTube channel, I will be doing plenty of in-depth stuff with this car, testing different items, and really leaning on it. If I break it, well... I break it not a big deal. However first things first, get her down to TX or FL soon to make some track passes, cause this snow on the ground here in KC is killing me.

Details I'll post on here, or my FB or youtube page.

Looks awesome man! Have you noticed any differences in intercooler efficiency when you black it out?

We did a BOAT load of testing last year with black finishes.

The thin thin thin powder coating we use had ZERO measured effect on cooling. :) (however hopefully will keep down the "hey man lets race" each night on the way home, after a person notices the intercooler)

My license plate says '3BEEPS' so we have very different highway goals

Glad to hear that, Erik! I'd love to black out my intercooler but I've seen studies that show it impacts cooling. But that's a bit old now and I doubt they used as good of a product as you to coat it.

If you layer it on crazy thick, then sure it has an effect.

But a light thin coat has no change that I would blink an eye at.
Trust me, if it hurt power, I wouldn't do it. :)

Car looks super stealthy badass! I wonder if cerakote would hold up, it goes on super thin, it’s used to paint guns where anything thick would hinder operation.

I read the "If it breaks, it breaks" in an Ivan Drako voice.

Good deal man. I'm still waiting on boost for my 17!

Good to see it come together. I will be watching your results and awaiting a list of parts required to take my P1x stage 2 off of my 2016 and onto my 18 A10. Keep us posted on the results.

YES! Stealth. I cannot stand the 500 different shades of metal look in engine bays. If it goes in the engine bay, it should be black (except maybe the air filter). That's my take...

Drives me nuts even that the top of the 5.0 engine is covered in GRAY (or is it GREY?). WHY?!!!!

Made 653 rwhp the other day on 7.1 psi of boost.

But its been a tundra here in KC, so haven't even moved it. :(

My plan is to drive to FL and go have some fun with it once I am back from Cali.

Thats what she will hit the track with.

Only change I plan on making is a set of drag radials. :)

Its flat out spooky, on stock tires... spins at highway speeds. :headbang:
