Problem. Installed SCCM and new steering wheel buttons. Pony button does not work, nor any of that sets of buttons, the only function i have that does work is where the Audio control buttons used to be, was i supposed to switch the audio and control wiring to the other side along with the buttons? It's a base 2018 SCCM? It is programmed according to the list.

After pulling it, it looks the same as my 2017, the 3 subs assemblies, 2 stalk switches and the center portion that plug into the steering wheel have the same part numbers on their little stickers. Either they sent the wrong part in the correct numbered box, of the base SCCM, doesn't make sense, it should still read the buttons. Think FORD made a mistake? Have to return it?
Whats your as built data for the SCCM? Exactly the same as this? I'm really curious about 724-03-01 being 1733. Assuming you don't have adaptive cruise. You ordered the -JA SCCM? The wiper and blinker stalks are the same P/N from 17 to 18.

At work right now so don't have the stuff right in front of me. That data looks about right, except I changed everything to the data you supplied, and changed the Cruise the 15-17 analog 37xx, that was on your sheet. the Pony button set- all buttons didn't work before or after programming. the right select buttons, like 1 or 2 work like to old stereo buttons, and the new stereo buttons do nothing. both stalk and the center sub assembly rotator part numbers are identical to my '17 part. there is a 4th part number sticker above on the flat that is different. It almost seem like it's a 15-17 part. Can i send you my Cluster build data? maybe that's where the mistake is, even if it was though, i would think the Pony button would still work if the SCCM was at least seeing it. To bad, because everyone else's worked no problem. Maybe the base JA part can't support the Dig cluster? Has anyone else used the base JA cluster successfully? Send the info specific once i get home. Thanks Breeves.

Thats your problem. 15-17 analog = analog cluster. You have the digital so you are digital normal cruise. I currently have the JA part in my car.

Change your 724-03-01 to 1733 xxxx xx and it'll solve your problems. You have it set exactly the same your old SCCM was.

if you have a gt, you need to fix your rpm red line to 7400
Stock GT should be 6500rpm unless its a 2018 or you have mods that let you go past the 7000rpm limiter the pre 2018's have. Mine is also set to 6500...for now...

Glad we got it worked out darkhorse!

Powercpack 2 i have redlines at 7200. My thought is set it low. By the time you see and process it you will overshoot for sure. I wanted a bar tach since i saw thx1138, and that is an old movie. Drove it around yesterday, super cool. : )

Hey folks, quick question. I got high beams to work but I wanted to ask. Do the little blue lights on your steering wheel buttons and radio buttons supposed to be off unless you turn your lights on or did I messed up something on the code. I can't remember for the life of me if that's normal or not.

There’s a way to edit the max rpms now? So if I were to put in my gt350 I’d be able to get it to 8k? Lol

Steering wheel buttons illuminate when the climate control and other dash buttons come on. So, no, they will not be on unless your headlights are on. An easy way to check is to see if your climate control buttons are illuminated. As long as the steering wheel button lights come on and off with the climate control buttons on your center stack, then you're good to go.

You can choose to set your redline to either 6500 RPM or 7400 RPM. I don't think there's a way to set it to 8000 RPM.
This is just a visual change on the instrument panel, and does not actually alter what your engine is designed to redline at, nor will it bypass the rev limiter.

Glare Problem solved

the glare problem reared it's ugly head today as i was driving around, so decided to try something new. I determined it's caused by ANY sun light that manages to strike the ~5x5" panel right below the center of the display.
This time I tried to block it and was pleasantly surprised with the results, no more Glare.
As proof of concept i used card board, but you can use any slightly flexible material, and paint it flat black, such as a piece of plastic. Suggest you cut a round on the edges that face you and maybe roughen the edge with sand paper to prevent an accident. Cut the piece to 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and use a high quality double sided tape such as the 3M or Scotch 20lb or 30lb stuff, available at Lowes or HD. Cut the tape in half and place 2 rows, one no less than1/2" from the back edge and the 2nd row at about 2" from the same edge (edge that faces the dash). I suggest placing the tape on BEFORE you paint the material, so it sticks to the material when you slowly pry it off, if you remove the piece for any reason. Of course, you can play with the shape and dimensions to customize and improve on it..

Looks pretty unobtrusive, don't really notice it, doesn't interfere with the steering wheel, and does it's job. Have a great day.
