This weekend I installed a new Steeda, tune required, cold air induction and tune on 93 octane using the SCT BDX tuner purchased thru Steeda and tune built by Matt.

Three issues identified right way:

1. I should have never waited this long to install a tune.

2. Windows now stay in the down position and radio volume stays at zero...as the engine sounds too good to miss and I found myself driving aimlessly just to enjoy the GT sound and performance.

3. This is going to cost me more dollars as I've found Steeda's customer service is outstanding and it inspires me to attempt more mods/installs.

Thanks Matt, TJ, and the Steeda team for such positive experience.

This was my first tune experience. When driving as a daily and taking it easy there is only a slight change in the overall performance. However, when you get on the gas, it's a brand new beast and brings back the smiles I had when my GT was new. I enjoy the deeper engine growl with the new Steeda CAI. I eliminated the sound tube during installation. Flowmasters and the H pipe pull the sound to the sweet spot of muscle car music.

Are there any graphs/numbers available for the tune?

From Steeda's website:

Steeda's ProFlow S550 Mustang GT Cold Air Intake Comparison: No Restrictor with Tune

In our cold air intake dyno shoot-out between Steeda, brand 'A' brand 'R' and brand 'J,' all of which are restrictorless and utilizing a tune, Steeda's S550 ProFlow Cold Air Intake dominated the competition yet again putting down 422 rwhp and 392 ft/lb tq! This is a 30 hp and 23 ft/lb tq gain over our stock baseline dyno pull.

Dyno graph can be seen at this link:

Yeah.. 30-40hp gains seems to be the norm (xx tune + xx cai).. livernois claims 50hp on a tune lol.

My Steeda 93 tune gave the midrange some nuts where as my VMP tune felt like it had some kind of turbo lag as the car kicked in only after like 4,500. I mean the VMP tune was better than stock, sure, but the Steeda tune as a lot of attention and time spent on the midrange, too. Top end on both -- about the same. I'm really happy with it on a road course as a result. I can dig myself out of the back half of a turn better. Before, if there was any slight uphill after the turn and I didn't carry momentum well, it did not feel like a V8 was in front of me.
