I'm looking at a twin turbo kit for my 2017 mt82 car. It's a DD so the boost would stay around 8 psi. Just wondering if any of you guys have regretted put turbos on you DD and wish you would have went with a PD blower. Just wanting to here some of your experiences thanks.

Make sure you go with a quality kit. There are new quality kits new to the market that I have seen. Hellion seems to have improved their kit although stretching their advertising #s big time. CPR has a beautiful Big Single and a couple more I am sure members will chime in. Just remember not to go cheap. A properly built Twin or Single kit takes time. Spend a week searching the internet of others experiences.

It's all in the install. As long as all of your oil lines, wastegate lines, etc are run properly, you'll be very happy.

But the one thing about turbo cars is that they're never done. There's always more you can do lol.

When did he officially release a kit?

I say this in all these threads. Turbos are killer buuuuut a stick and a PD blower is a perfect match. I have ran all power adders in every combination possible. Daily driven on 10lbs PD blower is same power as 8lbs turbo with zero drop off.

Hello.

We get asked this scenario as well. We typically advise to use our custom build quick spook 55mm units, and set it at the same 10 psi. The result has been amazing. We have worked very hard to prevent "drop off".

All of the twin kits have some type of compromise. One is made by a child porn collector, one has stock manifolds and a chinsey collector at the turbos, one has a miserable coolant line running on the exhaust crossover. All of them hang below the suspension for either the exhaust or the charge pipe. Then you need to find a way to put filters on the low mount kits.

Not to mention needing an oil drain back or a scavenge pump and the resulting lines.

PD blowers install cleaner, have none of the oil requirements, build torque and HP sooner, and don't lose boost between shifts. They are a better option for a DD, IMO, but they make a bit less overall power due to not being nearly as efficient.

Are the 55's at 10 pounds a good boost level on 93 or does that require e85

1194 HP? Is that number the corrected number? Once corrected seems to change dramatically,like about 900HP. Would I be stretching it a bit as well?

It doesn't even matter. You cant run that stock block/internals for very long at that level no matter the motor, so I don't even see the point in posting it, other than to show the potential. But, it misleads the nieve out there that are new to the game and think they can buy that kit and then brag to their friends that their 18 mustang makes over 1000 wheel. Ok. Suuure.

What did I miss? The 1194 isn't correct? I've been bragging on that number quite a bit at work! I'm happy with my whipple but the twins seem to be everyone's end game

I wish I would have went with turbos because they are harder to outgrow and it would be nice to be able to run a tighter stall. I love my paxton but it is maxed out.

Yes I have been bragging as well. :doh: Oh well 1194HP sounds good anyway. Kinda upset with Hellion for not posting corrected #s :mad:
