I have a deposit on a car about 300 miles from my home that is still in transit.

The dealer ordered 3 identical cars on 1/29, only different was exterior color.

In Cotus they have consecutive order numbers.

All 3 were built 3/26.

The other 2 were delivered on 4/6.

Mine is still in transit and the EDD was removed from cotus on Saturday.

How would I know if damage occurred in transit and that is the repair is the reason for the delay? Just seems odd the other 2 have been there so long.

thanks

I don't think they can fix the car and sell as new. That used to be the case but not now.

My local dealer salesman told me its not uncommon to have cars come off transport with minor damage. >>> I'm assuming paint issues. I inquired about a Mustang 3 years ago that was sent back to Ford with damage from a dealer in OH that showed it in stock. When I called they explained that it was sent back to Ford due to damage in transit.

More than likely they just ran out of room on the trailer and so it'll get picked up the next time the truck makes its route through. Your dealer should be able to contact the logistics company and find out where the car is.
