It will help with removing and torquing it down correctly. If you are confident (and Steeda instruction says NOT TO DO IT), you can just torque the nut down with and impact. Light burst until it stops and then one little trigger did it for me. I using a Dewalt 20V Brushless XR too :lol:

No problems after about 3000 miles so far. Car only have 4000 miles tho. :cheers:

Yes the socket shown on post #68 will allow you to fully tighten the locking nut. Without access to the hex on the shock shaft the shaft will turn before the nut is fully tightened. I had one of the locking nuts come loose after only about 75 miles. For a short term fix a friend of mine made one of these sockets from a 21mm deep socket using a cutoff grinder. The socket is well worth the money, about $20 shipped but it took about 10 days to get it.. Also i always keep mine in my tool kit in my car.

Take a look at

You'll get cheap shipping from the US dealer as you use a Buffalo address. Then CBS will clear it in and you can either pick it up at their place in the GTA or they'll ship it to you for decent rates. I just got skinned over a hundred bucks brokerage and other crap by UPS on a $205 item from LMR, FedEx got me for $80 on a $400 order from Steeda. Enough of that stupidity, these are car parts, they're duty free and we get clipped like that for brokerage fees? What a racket.

LMR is the only company I've found that ships to Canada with no hidden surprises, everything is paid for up front and their rates are really good.

Barrone Performance also picks up stuff from American Muscle weekly and brokers it in at decent cost.
