I've done a few searches and can't find if the 19 inch California Special wheels are available with a wider base. I'd like to put wider tires on the back and really like these wheels, not to mention buying 2 wheels are cheaper. Anyone know if they're available in wider formats?

I can't find my good pics but I had a set of my Cali Spl wheels widended to 10.5 " by Weldcraft wheels. The weigh just about the same as a pair of AM Leguna Seca repo 19X 10 wheels. I put 305-35-19 G2's on them and I love them !

Very nice. If someone makes the C/S replica wheels in 19x10 and 19x11 sizes, I'd get rid of my aftermarket wheels in a heartbeat.

Hey 69mach, A bit off topic but any chance you can share the wheel specs that you have installed on that 69!? I have a 70 302 and am looking for a new set of wheels. What you have in the pic is just about the look I want!

The price wasn't cheap, $250 each, I had them widened 2" to 10.5" They supply the material to do the widening. Turnaround, mine took about 5 weeks but that is constantly changing depending on demand.
I initially didn't really like the CS wheels but they have grown on me and now I really like them. I tried changing them, I put a set of 2013 Boss Leguna Seca wheels on my car but it looked like just another GT. I am not a Black wheel person, although 99% of the world seems to be, and I have thought about chroming them but the $$$ are just not available right now.
Weldcraft does excellent work and they are very knowledgeable.

Thanks for the info. What size spacers worked for you?

Right now I have 20mm up front and none in the rear. I might like just a little more in the rear, I might try 1/4" and see how it looks. I had 20mm all around but the 305's stuck out beyond the 1/4 panel in the rear. I went with 265's up front and they fit good

Yeah, you went about 2" wider with the tires alone.
Got a side view of the car?
Would you need longer studs with 1/4" spacers?
How much spacer does not require longer studs, anyone?

6-8 mm are about the limit on OEM studs. I use 5/16" or 8 mm on all four corners of my 16 GT. Any larger you must use larger studs. This is the 2nd pony I've ran 8 mm spacers.

So I have some 4k mile, 2017 CS wheels on the way for widening, fingers crossed. Now to decide on tires which will determine wheel width...295 or 305 35 series are on the short list.
So there was weldcraft and at least another shop that widens. Anybody remember the other(s)?

I see you went for it. Did you buy that set from the guy in Kentucky? The other place is Eric Vaughn Machine in Cal. Wow, that set in this thread that were widened to 10.5 looks awesome with the 305's. CMEGTCS is his username. Man, now that I see his, its tempting if I were to find a set locally. But I am trying to buy a local guys 20" foundrys right now, it may happen in the next few days if all works out. I like the foundrys look better myself. Now I'm tempted to buy the foundrys and have 2 shipped out for widening. I havent seen a CS with foundrys on it, I have looked though the forums. Decisions, decisions...
