I'm in need of some tires for my car that currently has 688whp.
I have the MRR 350 wheels in 19x10- 19x11. I would like to use a 305 width in the rear and 285 in the front. Unfortunately there are only a few tires made in that 305 size and one being the MPSS. Are the MPSS worth the 320$ price tag? I know I wont have grip in first gear or most of second but I like taking hard turns so wont be using a Radial.

In that size you will only have the MPSS available. They are great tires would definitely grip. Second option will be up sizing both to 285/35/19 and 325/30/19 on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

So my current size on my car is the 325/30/19. I like them but I really want a taller tire now since my drop isn’t That low.

Nitto NT05 is another tire offered in that size. We do need more tires in 305\35\19 that can handle track days.

MPSS/MP4S are worth the cost, they're great tires. I have them on the exact same setup as you on my car. There's not many other options in this size.

Treadlife warranty on them is 30K and they say 1/2 for the rear on staggered. I got 22K out of my rears and the fronts can easily last 40K by the way they look. Way past the labeled treadlife. Traction is very good too, first is useless but I can get traction in 2nd on warm days.

I have the size MPSS you're looking at, they are extremely sticky when the weather is warm. It actually gets a little irritating because they pick up every grain of sand and sling it into the wheel well so you sound like a rolling sandstorm.

Ok that works thanks for the feedback . I wish the 4s was available now in those sizes but not yet. I am concerned about treadlife to a point so if I get 20k I’ll be very happy with that. I’m sure traction will be much better than my Nitto INVO I currently have .

Thanks for the info. My gripe with the nt05 is they are still using a very old tire compound and tech. They also wear super fast and at the same price as mpss it’s not a good value. My wish is to have the re71 or similar in the 305/35/19 size.

Is this true for the G2s also?

Yeah I'm very happy with these tires. 20k out of the rear and 40k out of the front is pretty surprising considering the car theyre on. 700+whp and 4300lbs.

That’s the set up I wanted but couldn’t find 285/35 19 MPSS in a non run flat. Apparently, Michelin discontinued the non run flat version. I ended up using the 275/40 instead with 305/35 in the rear.
It seems that Costco still has regular 285/35/19 mpss.

Good deal. You’ll be happy with that set up.
I hope so.
Just spoke to Michelin and asked if I could run the rear mpss with front MPS4s in the hops that the tears will come available in the 4s this year or soon. They said yes that’s fine. 30 more sizes coming in July. And more after that. I may do this.

Awesome news. Hopefully then I'll be running a 305/35/19 MP4S next year.
