I ran heads up for the first time yesterday in my Hellion car.10.5 index.
I typically just do test and tune .
I ran with my 93 tune with 100 octane and went 10.2@137@13 psi -tune was adding to spark to 15 degrees .
I had to leave early so decided to go for 9's .
Tank was 1/2 full with 100 octane so I added another 2 gallons of Ms109(I did not have time to pump out ) and loaded my "race " tune.
So close -10.08 @139 .15 psi but timing is still 17 degrees .
Turbos are 55's and having back pressure like some others. The car is not making any power upping boost past 15 psi and previously trapped same 139 @15-17 psi.
I am away for 2 weeks on army training so I should have the valve springs done by the time I get back .
It was my first time out with the BMR springs/Viking shocks so I am sure I can get the 60 ft down to low 1.4's consistently .
I think the transmission is also slipping so going to have my tech build it while I am out with excedy clutches /intermediate shaft .
I will also be swapping to a one piece drive shaft so that should help .
Rear end is an iron diff with 3.31 gears I swapped from a manual car(former on3 car) .I also have the 800 HP axles (not sure I needed them but I took them off my former on3 car when I was going to trade it in-keeping that now and goinf to a 3.2 KB but that is another story.lol).
I will likely be switching to e85 -this race gas business is getting expensive and I would like to have the power ALL the time .
I want to see how far I can get on race has first .
Car weighs 4200 lbs with driver.
