I've got the stock GT PP set up but I'm lowered 1" on Steeda Progressive Springs. Would the new 19x10.5 and 19x11 w/ 305/30/R19 wheel set up work with what I have now as a simple swap?

More than likely, unless they changed the front wheel hub or brake rotor hat offset, which I highly doubt. But those are likely pretty heavy wheels. I can do 19x11" on all 4 corners. Why Ford didn't do so baffles me, especially since they are the same size tires.

They will fit 100% on the platform, We have been doing the setup before Ford brought the GTPP2 out.

so it works fine no issues.

What baffles me is why they introduced new wheels rather than just reusing the standard GT350 wheels of the same size.

Different appearance for different level of car. The GT350 is a unique model so it gets a unique wheel. I'm sure the GT500 will get a new wheel as well.

A $300 wheel is a $300 wheel. It is not like there is anything special about the standard GT350 wheel, and given there are 3 or more replicas available it's not like its some exclusive, special thing.

But it costs more to maintain two part numbers than one, even if both are functionally identical.

Of course a side issue is the different offsets. From what I heard the GT350 wheels fit perfectly well on a GT, the PP2 wheels look if anything, like they poke out a bit much (makes sense based on the offset difference). So did the offset change for a reason, or just for convenience or fashion?

Yes a wheel is a wheel, and yes it is an "exclusive, special thing" to get it from the factory as OEM equipment. No it doesn't mean it is made any better, but that is what it is.

The PP2 has a lot of the same/similar underpinnings/suspension tuning as the GT350 so it was probably easier to just carry over the same offset and sizing (so for convenience).

But they DIDN'T, the PP2 offsets are significantly different than the same size GT350 wheels.

Thinking i read the PP2 cars all have nagride which has beefier hubs, same as the gt350? May use diff offsets? I have Apex 19x10s up front with 275/35/19s. Dont think i could go any wider without rubbing issues.

I have 19x10s up front with 295/35s and don't even come close to rubbing.

I’ve lowered my PP2 with Ford Performance springs which are 3/4” and there is still a good bit of fender clearance on the front. Another 1/4” should be fine with a 30 series tires I’d say.
