Had an engine light pop up today. Dealer said it is a bad (cracked, leaking?) intake manifold. He's seen it on a number of 2017 GTs. He said he hasn't seen it on any 2015 or 2016's. Apparently the replacement part is a redesign. I've got <8k miles.

Usually sets codes P0300 and P0308 very common on all 15-17 cars.

An intake manifold from a 2015 or later F-150 (5.0) is a direct fit. It also has longer runners which are known to promote better mid-range torque?

You can pick up one on eBay for about $75 shipped.

I have one sitting in my garage and will be making the swap in the next few weeks, and FYI there is nothing wrong with the stock intake manifold on my 2016 GT, I am just trying to get a little more (15-20ft/lbs) torque in the RPM midrange?

YMMV

Got these codes along with P0316. Only have 10K miles on it and bought new. Took it into the dealer last Monday. Service Adviser stated that the tech found that the runner flaps were not opening/closing all the way. Intake manifold was replaced and picked up car today. Warranty covered it.

My 2016 had the same exact problem. I've seen people with 2015s on here with the problem too. It happens to all S550s not just 17s.

Had the same codes (P0300, P0308). Manifold was replaced. Anyone know the changes with the redesign? The new part number is SPO FR3Z 9424 N.

Hey guys came across this as I'm having the same issues here in the UK, Ford have had my car a week for them to determine it is the intake manifold however I've got to wait another week whilst they get the part in from the states! :frusty:
