Hey guys i have ordered some wheels from 50 deep in R specs but am going 62 offsets to prevent to much rear poke. Who has this set up and are you happy with the set up? Any negative effects that anyone could think of would be greatly appreciated.

I am also thinking of doing something completely different and have the wheels built to OEM spec regular gt350 sizes and offsets just to really have a light set of wheels and using the FP lowering springs to help with handling without going to a 30 series sidewall and altering the traction control and active handling software.

I am thinking the car will maintain its current ride qaulity with just bit nore stiffness but handling will improve greatly with a lower center of gravity and the loss of about 40lbs of unsprung weight.

Any comments both positive and negative. Would be greatly appreciated.

FYI if anyone is considering wheels contact 50 deep he is great to work with!

Hopefully your rear tires won't rub on the shock mounts. The 54mm offset on the "R" wheels ensures that they don't.

With the FP lowering springs and -1.5 camber in the rear there is limited already clearance between the strut and stock MPSS tire. 5mm less you will probably barely clear (a more square profile tire will probably will not clear). I am not sure I would do it. I like your idea of stock GT350 wheel specs better.

I'm on 60+ rear and really like it. I don't want a lot of poke so the factory like offset was the one for me. The only thing that makes me a tick nervous is that my CF5V spokes clear the brake caliper by only about 2 - 3mm. Although I HIGHLY doubt I'll get anything stuck in there. Your wheels might clear better.

So you have no issues with shock clearance on a 60mm offset?

I believe the 60mm is on an 11 inch wheel as the Forgestars don’t come in 11.5.

No issues with clearance and yes, 19 x 11. The only Forgestar wheels that come in wider sizes are their multi piece offerings. Like their M7S.

Your doing R spec 11.5 with a 62 offset rear?
No I was thinking about it but have decided against it going to stick with what ford engineers decided on! Figure they know more than all of us
