Pullied down to about the max this blower and a 6-rib can support and let it rip on the dyno before I wastegate it. 864 with the Paxton inlet and JLT filter and 891 open blower. Same dyno I always go to, starting from 376hp while stock. A built 5.2 with a gen3 whipple on 17lbs made 851 revving to 8250rpm just before, so we were all pretty blown away by the little Paxton throwing down on a srock motor.

Looks like the built 5.2 should of used a Paxton
What manifold is on the car?
LOL! The car has a GT350 manifold. The car was hitting a wall at 6500 before and would just flatline. The manifold was good for an extra 1000rpm and 50hp up top on E85.

Very nice buddy, gotta love the little blower that could! I'm switching to e85 Monday looking for 800, I'm slowly going to go up on boost from 12lbs until I get there.
I guess your 350 mani (& headers maybe) dropped your boost with the 3.33 most guys easily see 16+lbs on that pulley.
What did it make after you wastegated it?

You know I wouldn’t be surprised at all if I’m having some belt slip and that’s why I’m not seeing more boost. It seemed like a pretty small pulley for the 6 rib. I didn’t dyno after wastegating because I’m just choose the spring based off what’s usable on track. It’s a road race car, so honestly probably the 7lb spring would suffice lol I just wanted the big power for the street and if I ever learn to properly launch the car and take it to the strip.

My buddy’s paxton 2200 sl 3.47 pulley %20 over driven balancer, built motor, stage2 head porting, custom grind blower cams, 8 rib set up. made 896 rwhp on 24 lbs of boost!

Your buddy's car has something way off, there's a huge restriction if those boost levels are correct. 20% OD with 3.47 pulley shouldn't be making that much boost & 24lbs at 896 whp is very low which adds to the point the efficiency is way off. Look at the 2 cars above, a stock 5.0 302 making 890 @ 14lbs then a 5.2 @17lbs making 851 (which is low too).
Does he track it, do you have a slip?

PS I'm not starting anything with you or calling you liar, I'm just trying to understand. Maybe help him figure out a problem that could make his set up around 1000+whp car.

I confirmed he’s %15 overdriven not 20%. The 1st line on the graph that showes 19lbs he made 846 rwhp & between there and 24 lbs he only picked up 50 more rwhp which showes the inefficiency of that blower. According to jpc’s blower spin calculator he's overspinning it 6500 rpm!

Wow good power, My Paxton failed at 54k rpm on a 3.48 pulley... Vortech said overspeed killed it but I see all these guys running 3.33 and 800+whp no issue.

OP, I would've figured you'd see more boost than 14.xx on that pulley. Most guys on the 3.48 are seeing that boost level. Awesome numbers nonetheless! How much timing? Fore system?

Damn man...that sucks. How much to repair, or are you just replacing it?
