Wow good power, My Paxton failed at 54k rpm on a 3.48 pulley... Vortech said overspeed killed it but I see all these guys running 3.33 and 800+whp no issue.
Damn 54k?! That’s only 2k above rated I figured they’d have some tolerance built in. I’m sorry man!

Sounds like a bad luck of the draw on that one. I've seen plenty spun higher than that and be ok. Shitty.

OP, I would've figured you'd see more boost than 14.xx on that pulley. Most guys on the 3.48 are seeing that boost level. Awesome numbers nonetheless! How much timing? Fore system?

When did you kill your blower???
Yeah I was expecting around 15-16 but I’m suspecting belt slip. That boost curve really flattens out for a little there at 6k. I bet with an 8 rib I’d pick up a little more. 20 degrees of timing. It’s set for a max of 22 which I saw on the 3.8 pulley, but with the added load it’s restricting timing to 20 even with a happy knock sensor. Lund said that’s how he has the tune set up. It’s a fore system with my custom surge tank setup in the trunk. Single Walbro 465 in the main tank priming the surge tank then 2 465’s in the surge tank to the rail.

So you gonna rip everything out and start over with a turbo kit?

Same here!

no putting blower back on got it fixed
I feel lucky then, I had a 20% OD & 3.00 pulley (wastegated) on mine for a couple thousand miles shifting around 7k.
(Yes 66k+) :headbonk:

I was just doing it to test out the temps for my cheapo 6in fmic, I pullied back up to a 3.47 now shifting at 7500.
(Which is still over 60k)

14 psi and almost 900whp? Lol

This is why dyno numbers are just that. A number

Doesn’t it count for something if you dyno stock and every step of the build though as far as consistency? 376 stock, 605 on the Paxton kit and 91. 711 with headers and E85. 765 adding the GT350 manifold simply because I could rev it an extra 1000rpm. Then 864 with the 3.33 pulley. 100hp seems reasonable for dropping 3 pulley sizes doesn’t it? The 891 pull was open blower which was just for the sake of curiosity, but I didn’t see any huge unexpected jumps in power throughout the different steps of the build. I agree dyno numbers have a lot of variance, but is it not fair to say that I picked up roughly 500whp over stock, at the very least, considering the numbers are coming from the same dyno?

I made 850 on the stock manifold at 7500RPM getting close to leaning out on GT350 pumps. I could totally see myself gaining another 30whp with an intake/7850 redline/more fuel pump.

I also make around 14-15psi on the 3.33.
