Can anyone explain why the first gen S550's run high 12's in the big 3 yet we have multiple Mustangs running mid 12's bone stock on stock tires (both 6M and 6A) and even a 12.3 (6A)?

Yet the SS's only seem to run about 1/10th to 2/10 ths faster on the gen 6 SS fast list than what the big 3 mags usually get...seems kinda strange and well....biased. That or the stang is a hard car to learn to drag with....

I know the "plush" IRS bushings aren't helping things, GM did a better job on that front and that's a big advantage for drag putting aside the 20 hp more...I'm talking 2015-2017 GT against 2016-2018 SS.

2018 GT is a whole new ball game, especially when you combine the 10A and the DI/PI gen 3 coyote and it's beautiful table top power band.

Well it official. They talked about the pill so much. They now sound like him. Ford sent a tuned ringer for MMFF to test. F%$kin stupid. You got average Joe's claiming 11s and they are fine with that. But a pro does it in a Mustang. And they go straight to area 51.:doh:
You must piss off the SS guys to no end. You 95 GT in your sig runs circles around their fancy new SS's and our fancy GT's :D.

Don't get me wrong, the SS is a great car, it's a bit faster than the first gen S550 like my 2016 PP GT, but about on par with the latest 2018 GT's. But were' talking a 3% difference here between the slightly older 2015-2017's and the current SS...3% :frusty:. It's meaningless for 95% of sports car owners.

On a track it's also not going to net you much, handling becomes more important and for the price difference you can do quite a bit with the mustang's handling if that's what your after.

It's not like were talking SS vs. a WRX when we compare the SS to the GT or even worse...BRZ / MX-5. Fastest 6M SS on the list I've seen ran 12.1, fastest 6M GT on our list (excluding 2018's) ran 12.5. That's .4 seconds. Auto's same story, 11.9 on their list, 12.3 on ours.

That's 3.3% better 1/4 mile time when comparing the latest and greatest SS to the no longer latest and greatest GT....but you'd swear the mustang has a 4 cylinder in it while the SS has a fire breathing V8 the way they make it sound. My bad, some mustangs do have 4 cylinders and with a few key mods out run the SS :doh: (if you willing to risk the engine).
