Finally got around to a project I had planned for myself since this Spring or Summer. Decided to take my 50 Years tails and a set of Euro lights and mesh the two together for something a little different and fitting to my car.

Not going to get too crazy in depth with the whole process, but wanted to show some of the work and most importantly... the final product.

Started with my original Anniversary tails and separated those first. Took my time and figured out how everything was assembled and came apart.

Since everything was apart, took the opportunity to respray the Anniversary trim

Reassembled all of the pieces and finally got to see the vision become reality. While messing with not so cheap to replace lights was a bit stressful, it was actually a fairly fun project. Not sure I'd do it again, but it was fun once

And the finished product:

And finally, in the car and working!

How did you take off the trim of the 50th anniversary lights? Are they glued on? I am debating about painting them like a Brushed/Satin Silver to match other accents on my car

There's an epoxy and plastic welds that hold them on. You have to disassemble the lights to get them off. Easier to mask off the lights entirely and then paint the bezels in place

Took advantage of the weather today to get pics that aren't in a garage littered with parts...

How did you manage to take your tail lights apart without damaging them?
Very carefully, haha. Having a beer nearby never hurts either
