I would never compromise the suspension set-up.
I had seen a set of springs by Ford Performance Parts that was used with the GT350.
Hopefully the standard Magneride is lower than the present MY15-17
Seems a bit strange having ordered a car without really having final specs.
And yes - getting 10 speed auto
Well, i ordered back in sep14. (built dec15 March16delivery) Very little was know. Lucky, the price was a lot lower than estimated by the dealer and the spec of AUS cars turned out fairly high (3/4 spec if you like). Looking at U-tube videos, cars reviewed with magneride, don't look lowered? I think the auto is a good choice and will cost extra of course.

As I said in an earlier post, I’ve seen the official letter from Ford to the dealers, delivery commences in July and it is scheduled to deliver 4,500 Mustangs by years end.

Order a car without having final specs? Absolutely, that's why early adopters are so important!

Do you still have the option to pull out? Dealers I spoke albeit some time ago wanted $1k and you could get your money back if you weren't happy once details were confirmed.

One things for sure. They won't sell those 4500 cars next year, if the pricing isn't right.

Until they have confirmed final details I am still able to withdraw from the order.
I've got 6 months to decide what the car modifications will be.
I drove a mate's 2017 GT last weekend - he had modifications done by Mustang Motorsport - carbon fibre bonnet and all . Don't think I will modify mine quite that much.

After following this post over the last few days, I decided to contact my dealership regarding my order for 2018 and he told me they have no details at all. I am like many people here, if we are talking 70-80k then I am definitely out, I also opted out of my order for the 2017.

I’d change my dealer. Ring Ford Aust if confused.

I also cancelled my 2017 and sold my 2016. Yes, I know, I’m lucky to have had 2 already - long story. My 2018 model is on order. I’ve seen the Ford letter, my delivery is scheduled for July 2018.

Ford is also providing details via a link as the cars are built

Not doubting you have seen a Ford document, from what I can gather your deposit is saving you a place in line and when details are finalised you say Yay or Nay.

Correct.

I’m anticipating a retail on road in Canberra of about $70,000 plus $4,000 for magneride and $1,500 for 19” forged alloy wheels.
Recaros are expected to be between $3,000 and $4,000, too much for my needs.

The only other option available in Aus are the stripes, a new style which don’t appeal to me.

Fair enough, I am in exactly the same position, so if prices are justifiable hopefully I should be one of the first ones as well.

I forgot about the spoiler option, but I don’t want it either. Did your dealer give you an estimate of the auto price?

No separate price, i figured the AUTO would be built into the price increase as that's what i ordered.

...and 65K anywhere else? ;)

Forged wheels $2500
That's a bargain for proper forged (not flow forged) wheels if the design appeals.

Very keen to hear people's impression of the MR, the tech has been very good in other cars eg HSV Senator had it in 2008 and it was a good thing.
