Back to Mustangs with a 2016 GT350

Hey all,

I'm about to hop back into the Mustang game with a 2016 GT350. I found a good deal on a 16' w/Tech Pack, and since this will be a semi-DD (will split time between it and the Wrangler) I wanted to go with the sofa seats.

I bought it on the other side of the country and am awaiting shipping of it currently.

This will be my 3rd Mustang. My first was a used 2006 Saleen S/281. A few K miles after I bought it the motor blew, so I worked something out with the dealer wherein they wrote me a check to go away, and I built the new motor the way I wanted.



The next was a 2013 Boss 302, again used, in grabber blue. I loved how that car sounded. I eventually sold it because I just couldn't live with the recaros day-to-day. I sat ON the bolsters instead of between them, and eventually my 2hr commute (round trip) just couldn't take it anymore.




Now I'm moving on to a red/white strip GT350, and am super excited to get it.



I'll post more photos when it finally arrives. For now, glad to (almost) be back!

Yep didn't realize until I posted that photobucket wasn't working anymore. I have all my old photos up there from my first Mustang, so thought it would be easy to use it again. I've got my whole rebuild of the Saleen documented there, so I need to see if I can get it all and move it.

congrats!!! so have you even driven a 350 yet!?!? if not you are in for a HUGE surprise and the biggest smile you have ever had ;)

I have seen one and heard one, but never been inside or driven one yet .

You will find out the Boss has more low end torque grunt ( see chart below) and revs to 7500 rpms . The sound is different for sure. The chassis is the big difference between the two. Enjoy your new ride and keep it in the power band 4000 rpm- 8300 rpm:cheers:

Looking forward to it. The sound sold me on the car even without driving it, so I won't have too much trouble keeping the revs up!

Congrats! You won't be disappointed. Get a Steeda clutch spring ordered as the factory spring is one of the turn offs.

Now just waiting on the company to find a driver? Anyone ever shipped a car before? It's been about 8 days and they haven't found a driver to dispatch yet. I have no idea when they're picking it up.

Why? He says it will be his semi-DD... if he keeps it in those ranges he might end up in jail! ;)

How much did you get the car for? Also shopping for a used one and just wondering if it's worth getting a '16, thx

I got it for 48k out the door. Has 6k miles. Cheaper then I could find in Oregon and Washington. Could have maybe found one for less, but I really wanted the red/white combo.

Big congrats! The '16 with the tech package is a great choice, and there are good deals to be had on 'em. Some bad publicity because of the limp-mode issue on the track, but don't listen. If you're not going to track the car, you have nothing to worry about. Mine has been absolutely trouble-free. Enjoy!

I had mine shipped from Winnipeg Manitoba to Hamilton, Ontario. Make sure you use a reputable company with an enclosed trailer.
