GT350R track goodies...

My 2017 GT350R is scheduled for delivery at the end of the month - Santa was a little late this year! After spanking the shit out of my 2016 GT350 Track Pack at the track (7K track miles), I was impressed and the car ran flawless. The limiting factor at the time were the tires and remedied that with some Hoosiers. However, I never used them due to selling my car (100 miles on new hoosiers still available at half price!!) along with the G-lock brake pads.

So, I decided to go ahead and add some track essentials to the GT350R right off the bat. I have a set of Sparco 2000's in order to use a true 6-point harness and a Watson Racing 4-point roll cage ready for install. I will also be ordering some Hoosiers in 315 front and 325 rear, Ferrodo track pads, Castrol SRF. It will also have a 2 camera system with external mic and AIM lap timer.

We ought to meet up at NCM at some point. There were more Mustangs and P-cars than Corvettes!! I like it more than Barber - I have a feeling you and the GT350R will too.

Any weight savings with the Sparco seats and hardware?

Around 18 pounds for the seat alone. The sliders and mounts add overall weight. I will weigh both complete seats as they install for calculations. The roll cage will add weight to the car and will need to be offset.

Which AIM device do you use? I don't like their track software. I'm currently working to add GT350 CAN bus support to vBox devices. I made good progress the last two nights of finding some data on their CAN bus. The purpose of CAN bus support is to capture the raw vehicle data, then in conjunction with GoPro's or other camera systems, render the gauges onto the video. Here's a sample video I did for the BMW E92 M3. I hope to get most, if not all the same data from the GT350 CAN bus too.

You are welcome - the car will feel transformed! With SRF and good pads...your head will be hitting the windshield. You will be able to brake much better.

Can't wait to try out the 315/325 R7 combo on the GT350R...8 days to delivery!!

Good stuff! Let me know how the 315/325 set up fits, if there are no clearance issues up front this will be the route I go as well. Thanks
