I kind alike the design, yes, the clearance doesnt look great, maybe even worse than our stock wheels, and I wouldnt be surprised if "lightweight" means the same weight or a smidgen less than the 15-18 stock wheels...

Don't get me wrong, I love that car. The handling is phenomenal. So is the power. But a 6500rpm redline feels pretty MEH compared to a high revving naturally aspirated engine. It's just a regular 'ol LS with a blower on top at the end of the day.

The voodoo is no everyday engine.
Yeah it feels weird shifting at more of a traditional V8 RPM again. With that said it's nice having power under 3500RPM. :)

The voodoo is a bit of a dog under 3500, but I'm one of those weirdos that likes a high RPM power band. Used to have an RX-8 back in the day, loved that thing.

Super fun to take it all the way to nine grand though. Got rid of it at 35k and let the ticking time bomb rotary be someone else's problem.

Oh I agree, I wouldn't trade backwards. But the RX is still a fun car.
I agree they are fun. I just thought it was funny when talking about low end tq you mentioned the 8.

A lot of tunes for the Voodoo put some low end back into the car and basically raise the entire torque bad at every RPM range. I'd be perfectly okay if there was a tune that kept the torque band the same but started to diverge as the RPM climbed after peak torque. I'm all about horsepower lol. Or at least knowing it's there when I want it.

Basically I'd take this:

Not great drawings but you get the point.

I had two rx7s back in the day that would eat the Voodoo for lunch (in a drag not so much on a track). A well built turbo rotary is no slouch.. :headbang:
That's nice. I do believe we where talking stock configurations.

I For one have always wanted cross drilled rotors

I'm happy i 'bought in' when they had 'em.

The 2019 is badass and any of the future owners will NOT be disappointed.

I like the upgrades and will add a 2020 GT350 to my stable if they produce for another year.
