Base PP2 with active exhaust is $45,390 and no Recaro seats. Premium PP2 with Recaro seats is $51,185
Yeah and there is 1,500 in incentives right now.

I got priced a 401A+Active Exhaust+Shaker+Enhanced security and 6% tax for $51.4K out the door. Dealers are already giving nice prices on the PP2.

Never thought i'd see a $50k Mustang GT. Why would anyone want to buy that over a GT350? You can find 1000-5000 mile GT350s for upper 40's now. You'd better off just buying a new base 2018 GT and throwing your own aftermarket parts on it.

Per the post above its 10K difference I am comparing a 2016 track not a 2018.

That gets you oil/tranny/diff coolers, a better tranny, 50hp, and more aluminum bits, areo, and a car with a warranty

YMMV on which one you perfer the looks of.

Id lean to the GT350 because it to me looks much better.

I agree. And it's not just 50hp, it's 50hp from a flat plane crank engine which are rare birds at this price. Whether it's a better bird or not is debatable, but that's not the point.

If scarcity is key to value then the PP2 might turn out somewhat OK since early reports said Ford would only build 1000 of them which will make them scarcer than GT350s.

To those of you comparing the GT with PP2 to the GT350, The Shelby has two piece rotors (lighter and more expensive). The Shelby may also be lower.

There are probanbly only a handful of used GT350's with track pack for upper $40's in the country from what I can tell. It's not like you can go out your front door and buy one for that price.

I think a more reaslistic price is mid $50K range for a GT350 for most people. I have also noticed a lot of cheaper used performance cars coming out of Texas lately which is rather scary considering the massive flooding in that state. Sometimes when a car is a bargain and priced much less than everyone else there is a good reason why.

2018 features, plus from what I hear the 5.2 has more maintenance required, higher insurance, etc.

There's plenty of reasons why someone may want a 2018 instead of a 350. Plus, around here 350s are $60-68K new. If you're going to compare, compare apples to apples. In a few months you'll be able to get better deals on 2018s too.

I am seeing $4K off MSRP easy here on 18's. If you go to Koons it's more like $5K+ off MSRP.

Isn't a base GT Fastback with PP2 $43K before incentives/discounts? Figure $4K off that and you are looking at $39K before tax, etc but including destination.

The "deals" on the 2018s are why I could never buy a 50K GT. Im guessing with in a year you would be at 25K in value.
