Hi Steve - sorry I didn't get in touch. Was a hectic day so I didn't know exactly when I would be there and ended up collecting late afternoon with the light fading fast.

Some photos added above!
No worries. Some other time perhaps. I do think our cars would look good together

Sah-weet!! ...... white with black roof looks so good. My final two colour choices were black or white. The toss of a coin meant I went with black, but to be honest every car that has had photos posted looks fantastic. Really starting to have second thoughts about selling mine now :headbonk:

really beautiful car and nice color choice
Thank you very much guys - appreciate the positive feedback.

John577 you can always get the roof section done in black vinyl for a change - so at least you have the flexibility :)

Will put some more pictures up this coming weekend!

White Ford coupe with 'black vinyl roof' - sounds like the opening titles to Minder.

Looks nice.
I was contemplating white, but 3 of my last 5 cars have been white.

I thought it would be easier to keep clean than black... so far not proving true!

What colour did you go for?

I don't think it matters what colour you have at the moment.
I cleaned my car on Saturday as I was travelling round to 3 family members to show off the car. By the time I got to the 2nd, it was filthy.

Yep I know, but I'm not a big fan of vinyl on a car. I'd prefer to have it Black painted.

However, I prefer to do the dual stripes on the car, so it's still a good point that the car doesn't have the black roof.

Are you doing anything to yours, Steve? Any sort of protection product / clear coat?

Yes, Jewelultra Diamondbrite.

I used to work for them as a sales rep. I cant say its the best treatment now as there are new products since I was selling it (about 15 years ago) but back then it was the best imo.

I may be doing it this weekend depending on whether I get side and bonnet stripes done, if I do I will diamondbrite after they are fitted.

My local Ford store offers regular "Diamondbrite" at £349; I have found a local detail/valet company that would charge around £500 but they say:
"We use ceramic coatings on new cars and prefer one called SiRamik which is basically semi permanent (genuinely, not like dealership offerings) Once the coating is on it offers a degree of scratch resistance, and it maintenance free. It needs no top ups, special solutions or the like. Nothing bonds to it so all you can do is wash and go!" - and this includes Nanolex Convertible top sealant as well.

They need the car for 2 days, and would prefer to do as soon as the car is ready, and not have the dealer do any washing/etc. I am going to see them in the next few days to get an idea of how good they are; they do have good local reviews...

Did you get your stripes done? Did you get this on?

I had another awesome weekend with the car on a range of country roads. Feels very wide when another car starts coming towards you - but what a car!
