I'm Back! and I'm loving it!!

WHew! What a rush! After 18 Mustangs in my life, 6 of them convertible & Coupe GT500's...I'm back to the Shelby. Just couldn't let it out of my heart. I grew up in the 80's with the foxes and never looked back...well I did for a couple months. I took delivery of a Hellcat in August and was waiting on every second of it. I really don't drive my cars crazy just love owning them and love the Shelby name. When the new Mustang came out I really didn't like it at all and I was glad because if I liked it that meant I had to have them so I leaned to the fastest production car made under $200,000. Now the new Mustang was growing on me just like the new rear of the 2010 when it first came out. Still not 100% crazy about the new one, but the GT350....shark front...oh, man!. So today I traded in my 198 mile HC and ordered a white with blue stripe GT350 and am really excited again. After my regrettable sale of my GT500KR in limited Vista Blue, sticker $87,000 and I paid $59,999 when the market crashed. They also picked my KR for Carlisle PA for Shelby fest but couldn't make it. Also sent a camera for the 3rd time to Shelby with my airbag cover and signed it, I had to come back. I can't wait and happy to be back. So..... is there a way to track the build of the Gt350? Can't wait to be a part of the Shelby forums again.

Maybe I should of been clearer. The end of my post asked about tracking the new GT350 but I "ordered" a 350 with the trade.

:cheers:KOOL welcome back. Actually there is nothing you can do till your dealer gets allocation. They will call you and check your build specs and you should get a vin within a few weeks. warning, though it could be weeks/months for you to get that call. The sticky at top of forum has a wealth of info/ordering experience that you can wade thru. Patience is king on this car :frusty::ford:

Wow, another Hellcat owner (or ex owner)! With only 198 miles I hope you made a good buck selling it. Me too have a Challenger Hellcat and mine only has 191 km on it since I took delivery in April. It is now locked up at my office location. My GT350 was supposed to have been built on October 28, and I am waiting for delivery.

The hell cat is a hell of a lot funner on the street than a gt350. It's a 10sec car with very little invested.

Fortunately I dont care about street speed only unique looks and Shelby History. What good is 10 sec when I will never use it. Just having it? I thought that too but I owned it already and it really didn't impress me all that much to be honest.

Mine is actually bright white with no Brass Monkey wheels - long story. Originally ordered a Phantom Black tri-coat with Laguna seats in December. The waiting list was so long that I had actually given up. One day in April my salesman called and advised of cancellation of a bright white one. Everything was the same as the one I ordered, and red seat belts came as a bonus. I agreed to it on the spot and a week later I got the car. By then the price had already gone up by $3,000 and I had to pay. If I didn't take that one I would have been #12 in the waiting list and would have had no hope of getting one. Compared to the Hellcat, the GT350 ordering has been a much much better experience.

I got the last surprise allocation in May and delivered in July. Nice car but always leaned back to Shelby.

Dealer gave me $60, with $4,000 tax savings on the gt for the trade, I feel good. I paid $62
