Build and Price is great. Much fun to play with. But there is just one problem - when I get all done with Building the perfect car the Price kills it! Building = fun; Price = buzz kill. Damn!

The price is fine (for how much car you get), it gets super wacky when the dealer adds 10-25k

Except that the opening is actually larger on the non-R. The entire opening goes all the way down to the bumper on the non-R whereas the R has that small section sticking up.

Maybe they decreased the opening slightly in order to increased the speed of the air coming in?

Oh crap. That's sneaky. Those engineers... Never know what they'll come up with. Maybe they are getting enough air flow with the large R front splitter with the smaller grille opening but needed a larger opening on the GT350 with the smaller front splitter.

Not odd to me.... my '12 Boss 302 had it. I like it... spec'd the same on my GT350. The good thing now is you have a choice, to opt in or not.

This time around I did AG though instead of RR... but both still look good with painted black roof.

People (and media) bitched big time over the two tone paint (black or white) with the colored roofs on the 2012 Bosses...at least there was some heritage for doing so (1969 Bud Moore Engineering Race Boss 302 Trans Am colors) but a black roof has NO ties to the Shelby world and yet knobs are diving in.... if your a buy it and then sell it in 2 years kind a guy...don't'; it will hurt and not help resale.

The 2015 GT350's w/ painted black roof will actually be few/more rare. Based on the 90 VINs decoded so far, only 18 have this option. Plus the new GT350 is a game changer anyway... FPC, MagneRide, CF wheels, etc... etc.

I think of it as thinking outside the box and looking at the present & future not the past.... but of course do pay homage. Plus, I buy the car for ME not for others.
