That is a different part number from the item in box above?

I noticed that.

The one I bought from blue oval on eBay was specifically advertised to work with GT's upgraded with a supercharger. That's what made me bite lol. I figured I could get my money back for false advertisement if it didn't work.

I wonder why this is a different part number?

It has to do with base part#'s The center cluster has a different base but then crosses over to the 10849 base which is a inst cluster base. FR3Z.10849.CA is the correct part#.

FR3Z10849CA is the only part # for the Ecoboost boost gauge.

Well I hope that's true for you but I can tell you I had one ordered through Tasca since December and it still has not arrived. A friend of mine has had one ordered for quite a while now and it is still not here. Very hard to believe this would be here in 3 days

So I figured out how his works. At least I think I do.

The pcm is calculating vacuum and boost from inferred load. Then sending a signal to the gauge. The gauge itself is calculating from 0-5v based on how its calibrated.

So there you have it. It will work for any supercharger or turbo.

So the Ecoboost gauge has a wider range of availability based on vacuum and boost instead of just vacuum on the PP.

It's still receiving voltage and that span is calibrated within the gauge. This is how a GT is seeing boost. Inferred load is inferred load. PCM is just supplying the load value and it is being outputted as voltage

I am agreeing with you BTW. Lol

The voltage is just interpreted different depending on what gauge pod is in the dash.
