EDD still 2/20 now, down to 10 days to go.

I don't actually believe COTUS, because as seen in this thread, rail transport to Texas just takes 4-5 days.

I haven't gotten a reply from my salesman, though I've texted him twice now.


UPDATE: I have a railcar # now, but in calling both UP & CSX numbers, neither of their automated systems can decipher my voice.

MOAR UPDATE: Cellphones are no good for using these lines-- used a desk phone and got my update.... Departed Battle Creek, MI at 2:39pm EST today, No ETA.

UPDATE: My railcar is at Champaign, IL, since 11:23pm CST yesterday. It made good time in the 8-9 hours it was moving. I am only able to track it on the CSX number.

My EDD of 2/20 has not changed, though my car went 1/3 of the way in 1 day.

You need to get your rail car number (also often called an "ETTX" number) from your dealer. This can actually start with "ETTX", or it may not. My car came on car # "CNA 704103".

Once you have that number you can track it via the phone:

CSX:

1. Call CSX at 1 800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press 1 on your phone for location
3. When prompted for the car initials, say them and wait
4. When prompted for the 6-digit car number, say or key-in your 6 digit car number
5. When prompted for the next car, either say 'Done' or press the pound sign (#) twice


Union Pacific:
1. Call UP at 1 800-877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the rail car number completely and clearly. Example CNA704103 all together
4. Listen for your update

Only one may track your rail car, or both from what I have read. In my car both were updated and gave slightly different information at different parts of the journey so I used both.

-----Note: If your railcar is in a CN train (like mine), you still can track it from one or both of these phone numbers.

Oh!--- You GET the railcar number from your salesman--- if he doesn't immediately know how, I read on another thread that the railcar number is on the "production sheet" that he has access to.

Now my railcar has been passed over to UP, and is bound for that car unloading railyard in Kirby, TX, at 2am on Friday. Then it gets a truck ride North to my dealer, so since the dealer is closed on Saturdays, I expect to go up to get it on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.

I still kind of can't believe it--- and I haven't even seen it yet! *Boggle*! :eyebulge:

Mine was shipped out convoy 1/27, my EDD is 2/25.. I live in AL. What the hell is going on... My dealer said it would be here 2 days ago. Leave it up to me to be the last one to receive his car. Ugh.
