That's actually pretty good. I'd love to see it by trim levels.
Exactly. I’d expect any GT or better would depreciate more like a Corvette, as they are enthusiast cars. I think the V6 and ecoBoosts, which are more apt to be used as transportation might be raising the depreciation rate.

The 718 Cayman I REALLY like to own, but this confirms why they seem high priced for used ones. And NO I'm not getting rid of the S550! Maybe the 86 SVO, although a few people say NO!!!!
Got it 1989, time for someone else to carry the torch!
I still want an SVO, but I'm short on room!

Oddly enough, my '15 hasn't depreciated quite like this article would indicate. While KBB isn't the be-all when it comes to values it's been a good guide for me, and it puts a value of about $28K for mine. Not bad considering I paid around $36-37K for it new. No doubt the low mileage and condition are big factors.

I believe we talked about my SVO before. I have 5 cars, 2 car garage, SVO goes offsite for the winter, MGB at another garage. Wife's car never goes inside. Can't get another car without getting rid of something!

My '22 GT 401a window sticker was $52,070. Two years later I bought it for $36,500.
73.4% of $52k Is $38.1K so not too far off.

i believe it. a gen 3 performance pack is a lot of vehicle. i look at other cars all the time but mine has so much value for the dollar its hard to even think about trading it, i'd have to go up market for sure.

I don't know about these studies, but I know that my S550 hasn't depreciated at all. Not one tiny bit. Not a cent. :sunglasses:

It's interesting, I bought my Mach 1 used in 2024 for 49,000, had 5500 miles on it, I've put 21,000 on it and was offered by a dealer 47,000 in trade. The original window sticker was $64,030, so 26.5% is right on from MSRP to dealer in the last month, while I've only lost 4%ish. Not that it matters, I love driving it too much to care.

I think it is a BS list. A car is worth whatever someone will pay for it.
Yes. And the list is showing the results of people paying what they're willing to pay.

I typically find these lists to be slightly on the dubious side. But they seem to pull a lot of data and had a really large sample size.

I know in my local market. The delta between a low milage 2020 GT, and a similar 2024/25 GT isn't very large. At least the gap isn't what I thought it would be.
