I installed some Diode dynamics fog lights. I went with the white version of fog light over the yellow. They look really cool when they are turned on too. I am thinking about doing a blue coyote badge on the grille, what's everyone's opinion on that? Not too sure if I want to do it or not.

Did a couple more Steeda things over the holiday break. Installed their Q850 Alcantara steering wheel and the delrin version of their reverse lockout collar. I really dig the steering wheel. I inadvertently purchased a used '18+ GT350 wheel not realizing it wasn't compatible with my '16 (will be for sale soon), so I grabbed the Q850 while it was on sale.

I had the opportunity to compare all three briefly, stock leather on left, Q850 center and GT350 right. I'd say fit and finish of the q850 is every bit as good as the gt350, even has a FoMoCo base. Only slight negative is leather at the bottom is a little too plush imo, the gt350 is slightly more dense and firmer, which I prefer. But it really is a minor ding.

They must've upped the leather on the gen 3 cars because my stock wheel doesn't look like that at all. Good call on the Q wheel. Looks sweet.

prepped all my calipers for paint and while I was waiting on the caliper paint from G2 to arrive, I decided to paint the rotor hats with VHT caliper paint. I think this will make a big difference once the wheels are back on.

I decided to pay extra and get color matched G2 paint. So the calipers will be velocity blue with gloss black brembo decals.

Looks great, did you do the same thing as I did and just tape everything off? Or do you have a different process? It's very time consuming. Im hoping my calipers turn out well. Did you use G2 caliper paint as well?

I’ve painted a lot of rotor hats over the years, this is what I usually do… Remove the rotors when practical, cut a piece of plastic that matches the curves that I want to mask, stick the tape on the plastic and then cut the tape so the tape is curved which makes masking go relatively quickly.

I’ve used a lot of different types of paint over the years everything from barbecue paint to G2… On the Mustang, I used G2 but didn’t like the way it came out, so I sanded it down and topped it with VHT… I had a lot of problems painting the calipers and rotors on my Mustang, not really sure why… Sometimes the stars just don’t align, lol!

As the one who spent weeks convincing G2 to offer Velocity Blue which I used the first can on my 2016 Brembos to match my painted OTT stripes, I hope you are happy doing the same. I was NOT. Your current wheels are more open than the Factory PP wheels but not more than my later Apex SM-10s. That color of blue is just not bright enough to stand out behind the wheel.

Also FWIW, maybe this is true of other G2 paints but it was a bitch to mix. On the plus side I did gain almost an inch of bicep. LoL

TuxMat - easily the best floor liners I’ve ever had.

Messed around with new wheels.

Still waiting on lugnugs, spacers, studs. Gotta cut the strut towers and install Vorshlag plates too.

Oh, and of course tires.

Did some detailing work on interior today, while we got another 5" of snow.
Searched this forum for a body-style thread, to no avail...my apologies for going off topic a bit.
2015 Mustang 50Yr appearance - rear fender and window vent functional or just cosmetic ? Thx
