Your pictures were invaluable for getting the connectors. I am happy I was able to help. The grey connector didn't have a listed pigtail. However, Ford may be able to help if you give them the connector number. If not, and you really need it. I will be placing a mouser order soon and could make one for you.
sounds good, I will call ford on Tuesday and let you know . definitely feeling a lot better now. I was so worried, I was going to have to buy a wiring harness lol

Do you have any more information than this?

Did this start after you started messing with the amp?
Have you actually changed anything related to the amp besides plugging and unplugging it?
While you were investigating the amp, did you touch anything in the SJB?

I will rapid fire questions:
Does the cluster power on at all key-on, engine off?
Does the cluster power on at all key-on, engine-on
Does the radio power on at all key-on, engine off?
Does the radio power on at all key-on, engine on?

No to all , exactly it happened after the investigation. I checked to see if anything was touching but I couldn't find anything . Just unplugged them and cut the hockey tape off. SJB?

Are they still dangling unplugged? Have you tried plugging them back in?

SJB is the Smart Junction Box aka the fuse box in your cabin.

Yeah I plugged them in and hooked up the battery and hopped in and started her up and that's when it happend. 2 weeks ago my windows and mirror switches quit workin. The fuse would blow instantly when i would replace it. I find the remote wire for the 2 amps in the back were wired into the windows switch in BCM. I cut it and it came back to life. The amps in the back aren't hooked up to the battery. They don't turn on when its hooked up but they power the rear speakers. I took the subs out because they were blown .

This 100% sounds like the previous owner not only thought they knew electrical, they decided that they needed to add a bunch of components to the car and Jerry rig it all together.

I think we should start with the stereo. If the FDIM is not getting any display, literally at all... I guessing there must be some sort of short taking place.

I would start by pulling out the head unit and getting to the ACM. You want to unplug the c240 connector and with a multimeter check red in pin 1 and black in pin 13. That is the fuse (fuse 33 20amps) and ground. You should be getting voltage. If you are not, then you have a problem upstream from there.

Regarding the cluster, same story, let's check power

You will want to pull the gauge cluster out and pull out connector c220. With you multimeter, red in pin 8 and black in pin 3. (Pin 8 is fuse 13 7.5amps and pin 3 is ground).

These should obviously be tested with either key on or key on engine on.

See, this is the type of stuff that frustrates me.

I'm not going to rip the guy. He obviously had.... a..... plan.... For something.

What bothers me is the half knowledge. He knew enough to braid and twist some pairs but then totally took the "easy" path.

I hate to say this. But if I were you.... I'd rip it all out...

Well, to be fair, the harness behind the the dash is the main body harness. But to replace it, chances are, you're going to need to pull the dash.

Having pulled dashes before. No way would I ever do it again unless I absolutely had to.

I would skip out on the radio for now and tackle the gauges. Those are more important in getting the car driveable.

Does the car start? And the cluster is just... Off? Or can you not start at all?

The harness behind the dash is 14401. eBay that for your year and attempt to find one with the same features as your car.

If you're feeling fancy, and you're connectors aren't butchered. I would just remove all of the splices and components the previous owner had installed. I can help you with any diagrams you need.
