Is it just me, or is anyone disappointed with the lack of metallic colors for the 2015? I love the Red Candy Metallic on my Taurus and i wish they offered it for the Mustang, but all they have is Ruby Red. Its a gorgeous color. Why does the Taurus get Tuxedo Black, and the Mustang doesnt?

Hopefully 2016 offers more metallic color options.

I thought Ruby Red was at least a partial metallic. It was the successor in the line of Redfire, Red Candy, etc. Perhaps I'm wrong. Anyway the trend for 2015 has been brighter, flatter colors. Hence the oranges, yellows, etc for the special colors. The dark metallics trend is finally waining. I personally like this generation much better in lighter, brighter colors.

I also don't like metallic in black. My wife had a CTS a couple years ago with Black Diamond paint which was an extra cost option. This paint had quite a bit of metallic. I thought it looked dirty sometimes when it was clean. It did hide swirl marks better but a black car without metallic looks so much better when clean and polished. I am glad they are coming out with brighter colors as well. There was a lot of shades of grey/brown/green with heavy metallic for a while. I think they looked good on the SUVs but not on Mustangs.

Nothing wrong with Red Candy, but if you're into metallic reds how can you not like Ruby? It's gorgeous

I love Ruby Red. I didnt have a problem with it, i just wish that Ford offered more metallic color options, like the white they offer on the Fusion (forget the name) and the brown on the F-150 (i think its metallic)

I personally love Tuxedo Black with the metallic in it. I wish they would make Deep Impact Blue in a metallic color.

I bought Magnetic Metallic after having decided on Guard. Love my choice, but the Ruby Red is a stunner in person. It's the only color I would choose over Magnetic.

I'm pretty sure DIB is metallic.

I thought the only metallic color was Ruby Red and all the others were solid?

I saw the new F150 yesterday with the color "Blue Jeans". I think a Mustang with that color would be cool. It's a nice darker blue.

I got magnetic metallic, and there were several other colors I considered, including CO and DIB. But Mustang has always rotated colors every few years, so it's only a matter of time until one of the colors mentioned likely becomes an option.

The deep impact blue is definitely metallic. I was going crazy trying to find one, spent two weeks calling dealers.

Then went into a dealer that had a silver to testdrive, and when he brought it around and I saw the color, I said, "If the testdrive goes fine, I will take it!"
I drove it off the lot the next day.

They also had a Ruby red automatic (also metallic), and I thought the color was gorgeous. I felt that the deep impact blue had too much hint of "purple".
